Brand new Harley-Davidson bike being buried in Oklahoma
I have heard alot of things happening to motorcycles and what people do with them but this is one of the more odd things I have heard.
A Harley-Davidson Dealer is donating a brand new 2007 Street Glide with a custom blue denim paint job to be buried.
Ok, so now you are wondering why is this being buried? Well it is for a time capsule to be opened in 2057. Also while we say being buried, we actually mean being entombed aboveground until 2057.
The Harley is just one of many things being buried for the time capsule and things like Ipods, cell phones and laptops will be entombed with it.
While I understand the need to remember our past, it is just such a shame to have a brand new bike sit for 50 years and never be rode. After the long wait to be opened, it will be interesting to see if the bike can actually be made to start and later rode.Â
How about instead I just promise to hold on to the bike for 50 years and bring it back for people to see?
