Haines City suspends bike fest
Haines City in Florida hosts the bike fest every fourth Saturday of the month at RailRoad Park usually but that is about to end for awhile.
Citing a lack of parking available at or around the park, the city has decided to cancel the monthly event in order to go forward with planned upgrades to the area for the next 4 to 5 months.
With prime time bike riding season upon us, it is sad to see that Haines could not find an alternate for the bike fest. But hopefully local businesses will pickup the slack until the construction is done. Because as we all know, when one spot closes down for awhile, bikers tend to find other things to do.
Haines CIty does have one thing going for it, since they hold the event monthly, bikers will probally pick right back up with coming back and enjoying a city that knows how to treat bikers right by sponsoring the monthly bike fests.
