2 reckless biker deaths cause stir in Connecticut

The governor of Connecticut has had a knee jerk reaction to a pair of biker deaths and is calling for the state to revise it’s helmet law.

On first impression it does not seem like a bad idea to take another look at the laws but before everyone gets jumpy about redoing the law, people should maybe take a look at the reason for the deaths.  Apparently two bikers died in a three bike vehicle collision after 1 motorcycle ran into the rear end of a tractor-trailer and then hit the second biker. Both bikers were going at a highspeed and were not wearing helmets at the time of the crash.

It is sad to see politicians react before they have the full story or even look at the larger picture. With an increasing number of bikers across America, while 2 deaths being tragic over a weekend, statistically just does not add up to changing laws. If that were the case, there would have to be alot more laws enacted every week when two or more people die.
