Hopefully you enjoyed the 2008 Hollister Rally, it may have been the last one after doubts surface from the promoter on the 2009 Hollister Rally. As with alot of the rallies and other biker events this year, most are seeing a downturn in attendance and the money spent at such events.

ABS on motorcycles really do save lives
The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety has done a in-depth review of Anti-Lock Braking and has determined that it does reduce crash frequencies and deaths. In the Vol. 43, No. 9, Oct. 22, 2008 Status Report, the Institute has compared non ABS versus ABS model motorcycles and shows us the results.

Adopt a highway and make the road a nicer place for everyone
Not every biker event has to be on the back of a motorcycle and adopting a stretch of highway is a good example. We enjoy the open roads and freedom our motorcycles give us but it is hard to enjoy when trash litters the side of the road. Every state is in need of help in making sure that the roads we travel are free of litter. Many different types of clubs, families and businesses help keep the roads clean. Sadly most clubs that are brought together by cars or motorcycles do not help in keeping America free of litter.
