Gettysburg Bike Week low maintenance this year

It is always good to hear that not only was a biker event without major problems but also there were no fatalities during it. In the case of the Gettysburg Bike Week, police reported almost no problems.

Even though there were little or no problems with the bikers that attended, the police department is still asking whether the event is something that the city can afford.  Also they believe that there was still too much noise and most residents just did not call in to complain.

It almost sounds like sour grapes when you hear that the police still want a review when everything goes off without major problems. Even though the bikers themselves bring in alot of money to the event in tax revenue it seems that there is always some group that does not want bikers in their town.

Hopefully the police are just ignored and the city continues to understand that as long as the bikers hold events that are un-eventful as this, that the revenue brought in is well worth the little bit of noise and ruckus caused by the bikers for the week.
