Don’t run out gas when you run from the law

Gary Allen Smith might have to laugh at his own woes while he faces two different charges in 4 different counties in Oregon. Gary attempted to elude four different county police departments but in the end he was caught and arrested for felony attempt to elude and reckless driving.  Ironically his motorcycle was probally the cause of all the charges and his arrest.

Motorcycles are great at swerving through traffic especially sport motorcycles but the problem with them is that they do not have good endurance having a small gas tank. Gary’s bike did everything it was supposed to including running out of gas after his 4 county run.  More than likely when Gary’s chase started his bike did not have a full tank because it took only 40 minutes for him to run out of gas.

So maybe a little bit of wisdom for those that try to run away from the law, make sure that you have enough gas before you decide to flee. Because no matter how good you are or are your bike, if you run out of gas, it is jail time for you.
