Update to August 5th Sturgis report

It seems that some bikers were injured in yesterday’s bad weather around Sturgis, SD. With high winds, lightning, hail and a heavy downpour it is not surprising to hear of motorcycle accidents around Sturgis.

One biker was struck by a loose flying banner from high winds and crashed his motorcycle. While only suffering minor injuries, it was believed that his bike was totalled.

Also I have an unconfirmed report of four bikers being struck by lightning while riding during the lightning storm. It is unknown if all four were from the same blast of lightning or if they were seperate incidents.

All five were treated at the Sturgis Hospital at least one was released and the others are unknown.
