Fuel Injection can reduce carbon monoxide emissions cheaply

On most small engine motorcycles, carburetors are still the normand fuel injection is generally done on only the bigger or more expensive motorcycles. But now for just a small amount of money, one company has designed a bolt-on fuel injection system.

The biggest advantages of going with a fuel injected motorcycle engine isĀ better fuel use and reduced emissions. But price normally kept getting in the way of all motorcycles going with a fuel injection system. But with a company called Electrojet, the price problem has greatly been reduced and now only costs about $15 more than a carburetored system.

Even though the company does not make systems for the aftermarket, their system does not require any engine re-design. This means that as motorcycle manufacturers switch to better fuel efficent and emission standards, you might soon see the carburetor go out of style and become just another invention in the motorcycle muesum.
