Two years later, alleged shooters finally in court over South Dakota Custer State Park shooting

Sometimes the wheels of justice are quite slow, nearly two years after the shooting, two Hells Angels are on trial for a shooting in 2006 in South Dakota.

Chad Wilson, 33, of Lynnwood, Wash., and John Midmore, 35, of Valparaiso, Ind., have pleaded not guilty to five counts of attempted first-degree murder and one count of commission of a felony while armed. A conspiracy charge will be handled separately.

With the 2008 Sturgis Rally shooting almost settled, now eyes are turning back to the 2006 shooting that took place between Hells Angels and the Outlaws motorcycle club. The 2006 Sturgis Rally will be remembered by many because of this famous shoot-out. Even though it did not happen in Sturgis, it certainly set the tone for the event to be remembered.

Hopefully both of the cases will be totally settled by the end of the year and the two shootings can both be laid to rest. Certainly both events will not be forgotten for a long time and will certainly flavor the Sturgis Rally as being at least a  bit dangerous to attend. While most visitors to the rally tend to forget that you have more of a chance of getting into a motorcycle accident or having problems with the law, they worry about fights like these taking place.
