Connecticut biker deaths are going back to 1980’s numbers

Connecticut bikers should be happy to know that riding motorcycles in their state is safer than it was back in the 1980’s. Even with the increasing numbers of motorcycles on the road, less bikers are dying while riding.

Most other states are seeing a rise in the number of biker deaths and accidents per captia. But Connecticut has had less actual numbers of deaths. In 1985, 74 riders were killed and in 2008 only 54 were killed.

Hopefully Connecticut will continue to be a biker friendly state and the number of deaths will continue to decline. Maybe their motto for bikers should be “Come ride here, it’s safer than other states.”
