I began volunteering on a holiday years ago when I was going through a not so positive times in my life. It changed my life! I vowed to take more people (adults & children) in the hope they too could be touched as I was. Well...I named the ride after my beloved mother "Bert" last year and the American Legion Riders group I belong to agreed to help by sponsoring the event.
This event starts early (usually last 2-hrs) so people can get to thier families if needed. For those which do not, we may work a bit more and have dinner from another sponsor while we play video games, cards, drinks, etc...fun times for a good cause.
If you're; coming in from out of town, interested in donating or just have questions, please let me know. PS We do Christmas Day also!!!
