 <title>MS Motorcycle Ride</title>
 <link>http://ctn.nationalmssociety.org</link>
<description>The Connecticut Chapter is revvin’ up to host the 8th annual MS Motorcycle Ride to be held Sunday, July 20. Last year more than 1,200 riders donned leather for this popular event uniting tires to pavement and hearts to a cause. The 2008 ride will kick start from Cadillac Ranch in Southington, Conn., at 11 a.m. Bikers will saddle up for a 50-mile ride across quaint back roads and Connecticut’s breathtaking countryside. The ride will return to Cadillac Ranch where bikers will be greeted by boot scootin’ live entertainment, a down home barbeque, drawings for prizes, vendors and much more!

Pre-registration is $30 per biker and $20 per passenger. Registration the day of the event is $35 per riders and $25 per passenger. Registrations fees include the finish line barbeque. The fee is just $10 per person for those who do not wish to ride but who would like to take part in the finish line festivities to include the barbeque. Cadillac Ranch is located at 45 Jude Lane in Southington. Learn more by visiting: http://www.caddyranch.com/.

Bikers are encouraged to form bike teams and raise funds to benefit the more than 6,000 Connecticut residents battling MS, a potentially debilitating disease.

 <title>THE VINTAGE TRIUMPH ROADSHOW</title>
 <link>http://www.motorcyclemuseum.org</link>
<description>PICKERINGTON, OHIO – The Motorcycle Hall of Fame Museum has announced it will host “The Vintage Triumph Roadshow” during 2008 AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days and invites the participation of all Triumph owners in this noteworthy event.

“The Vintage Triumph Roadshow” will be held at the Motorhead Café on July 25 and 26, 2008. It will honor the VMD Marque of the Year, Triumph. Inspired by “Antiques Roadshow®,” the hit PBS program, “The Vintage Triumph Roadshow” will feature Triumph expert and Baxter Cycle owner, Randy Baxter, appraising classic Triumphs and Triumph memorabilia.

Baxter will be appraising both correctly restored and original unrestored Triumphs, but he will do more than simply assign a dollar value to the motorcycles. Baxter will also share restoration trends and tips with the audience.

If you own a correctly restored Triumph and have ever wondered if your paint color and pin striping would pass concours judging or if your decals are authentically placed, this is the event for you. Additionally, if you own an original unrestored machine, Baxter and the Museum invite you to participate in “The Vintage Triumph Roadshow” and allow fellow enthusiasts to appreciate and learn from your classic bike.

Triumph owners who would like to participate in “The Vintage Triumph Roadshow” are invited to contact Mark Mederski, Motorcycle Hall of Fame Museum executive director, at mmederski@motorcyclemuseum.org. Owners must register in advance to have machines and memorabilia appraised by Baxter during “The Vintage Triumph Roadshow.”

Enthusiasts who plan to attend “The Vintage Triumph Roadshow” as spectators do not need to pre-register.

 <title>Vancouver Black Cats Monthly Meeting</title>
 <link>http://www.vancouverblackcats.org/</link>
<description> Our Club holds the same AMA Charter number that it held in 1945. How ever we have changed our designation to a Historical Charter. As a historical club, we no longer put on sanctioned events. We can, and do, put on fun events for ourselves and invited guests.

We love to ride both short and long distance as well. We hold one business meeting per month and one or more social events. Our members span the age group of 30 through 70 years.

Our general meetings are every first Wednesday of the month at the Round Table Pizza on Thurston Way, near the Westfield Shopping Center.

 <title>Last Mile Ride</title>
 <link>www.giffordmed.org</link>
<description>The third annual Last Mile Ride will be held on August 16, 2008, at Gifford Medical Center in beautiful Randolph, Vt.

Staging begins at 8:30 a.m. and motorcyclists depart at 10 a.m. for an approximately 100-mile ride through some of Vermont’s most beautiful countryside. Riders will pass rural communities, village centers, multiple covered bridges and even follow the gentle curve of picturesque rivers. The route includes valleys and hilltops and a mid-way break for riders to stretch their legs. The ride ends at Gifford Medical Center, where it will have begun, with a barbecue lunch, live music by band Hillary and Party Crashers, and prize giveaways.

The cost is $50 for one rider and $75 for two riders (on one bike). Riders need not pay the money themselves. They can fundraise the fee by asking friends and family for donations.
