Save the DATE!!! The 10th Annual Great Teddy Bear Run, sponsored by the Sarasota Florida HOG (Harley Owners Group) Chapter, is well underway. The date is set for Sunday November 11, 2007. This charity event will benefit KIDS by the SEA, a local non-profit, serving children with cancer in our area since 1982. Every year we have a police escorted parade with a new teddy bear or other stuffed animal strapped to our bike and end at the Sarasota Fairgrounds for a big party with lots of food &amp; fun. For only $10.00 &amp; a stuffed animal for charity, you gain entrance to the parade &amp; event which includes your barbeque dinner, ice tea and water. Soda &amp; beer by the glass will be available for a reasonable donation.
There will be lots &amp; lots of seating both inside the Arena &amp; outside in a huge tent. So rain or shine we will still do the event &amp; have a great time!
Once at the fairgrounds there will be raffles, a 50/50 drawing, a people’s choice bike show, bike rodeo &amp; live music all day. This year there will be even more vendors! There are other surprises being lined up! All bikers and bike clubs and the general public are invited.
The public is encouraged to watch the parade proceed down Honore Avenue &amp; Fruitville Rd. leaving 11:30 a.m. from the mall parking lot at University Center.
There are Great Teddy Bear Run event T-shirts, with the Famous Biker Bear Logo available at registration. The ever-popular Harley Davidson Teddy Bear Pins will be available again this year the day of the event at registration. There will also be a Special one of a kind 2007 10th Anniversary Great Teddy Bear Run Pin. We meet at The Shoppes at University Center mall, corner of University Parkway &amp; I-75 exit #213 in Sarasota, Florida, Sunday morning the 11th of November. Registration starts at 10:00 a.m. and ends at 11:15 a.m. We leave in a police escorted parade at 11:30 a.m. to go to the Sarasota Fairgrounds.

<title>40th Annual Monty Mann Memorial Run</title>
 <link>http://www.biker-events.com/calendar/wc5320101201.html</link>
<description>THIS IS YOUR OPPORTUNITY TO HELP THE San Antonio State School which was established to meet the needs of people with developmental disabilities, behavioral and psychiatric challenges, medical problems, provides vocational training, and physical management therapies to the South Texas area wanting their family members close. The Volunteer Services Council of the San Antonio State School, a non-profit organization, is instrumental in securing goods, services, and funds, which go directly to the residents of the facility.

On Saturday, December 1, 2007 The San Antonio Area Motorcyclists will host the 40th Annual Monty Mann Memorial Run. Monty Mann, now deceased, put together a bike run for the San Antonio Area Motorcyclists to benefit this worthy cause as the State School gets very little help. This fun event raises money and collects food, clothing, and especially gifts like toys, games, crafts for the 300 residents ranging from 12 to 80. All bikers are invited to join the SAAM on Sunday (December 9), to deliver all these wonderful gifts along with Santa on his bike. It is a touching and rewarding event to see these lovely people light up with excitement from Santa on his motorcycle with his biker helpers. It was founded to help prove that all bikers are not bad guys and cares for their community in mass and involves bikers from all segments of society.
Activities include a fun run beginning at 11:30, field events, vendors, contingency prizes, a live auction, a 50-30-20 drawing, music, dancing, food, fun and lots of generous friends. Doors open at 9AM and a $6.00 donation along with a gift is requested at gate or a $10.00 donation. All proceeds to benefit the San Antonio State School. Contact Dixie Howell (210)590-8095 or DixieJr@satx.rr.com for further information or to schedule an interview.
